Checking in
My left hip has been bothering me. It is the same leg that I had a knee replacement done on. I can't get anyone to admit it but I thinkin the process of replacing my knee they made that leg slightly longer. I wear a quarter inch lift in my right shoe to compensate. With all of the walking I think it has really affected my hip. I have heard that hip replacements are much easier.
Last week I was excited to reach out to someone that wanted a photographer for a “jail” wedding. I would almost do it for free. That isn't an experience that comes around very often…But she never returned any of my calls or texts.
On Sunday I am going to photograph a couple that are already married but they need a wedding photo for immigration.
I enjoy the small weddings most. They give me a great opportunity to tell a story. In the beginning I think I thought of weddings as the least interesting but I have come to really enjoy them for just that reason. It is a different story every time and I get to document that for them. I do it quite a bit cheaper than other photographers. It all works for me and for them.
I made two videos this week. it kind of goes that way with me..in spurts. I get excited about one project and in the end I want to try and make something even better, being informed by the first.
I am also on a diet. The weight creeps up on me until I am just not comfortable with what I look like. My pants start to feel tight. Someone might make a comment and then I need to do something. I try to fool myself but..I can't.
I just wanted to check in.
Here are the two videos I made this past week. One is for the song I posted in my last post and the other is for a song I wrote When Justin Townes Earle died of an accidental overdose. If you don't know his name look up some of his work on youtube.
Thanks again for reading my thoughts.
